Archer Properties Wins National INNOVATOR Award at

Student Housing Business’ Interface Conference

ATLANTA, Ga., April 30, 2013 -- Archer Properties was awarded a National Innovator Award for Best Off-Campus Renovation for Archer on North in Athens, GA at the 2013 InterFace Student Housing Business Conference in Austin, Texas.

Archer Properties, an Atlanta-based commercial real estate investor, developer and manager of management-intensive properties, purchased 140 apartment units in Athens, GA in February of 2012. Archer completely renovated the units and re-positioned the property as a student apartment community that serves the graduate student population at the University of Georgia.  The property was rebranded as Archer on North Apartments (www.archeronnorth.com).

“We were thrilled about expanding into the Athens, Georgia market as well as to offering a fully amenitized all one bedroom apartment community less than a mile from The University of Georgia and Downtown Athens,” said George Connell, COO of Archer Properties.  “Receiving recognition for this project was especially rewarding since turning Archer on North into the student property it is today took a lot of vision and dedication from all of our team members.”

The 5th annual InterFace Student Housing conference took place April 10-12, 2013 at the Hilton Austin in Austin, Texas, and brought together over 700 leading players across all industry disciplines.
